A triangle has an area of 24 square units. Its height is 6 units.
devlian [24]
Area of triangle=1/2 times base times  height
given that area=24 and height=6
24=1/2 times base times 6
24=1/2 times 6 times base
24=3 times base
divide both sides by 3
8=base
the base is 8 units long

Please help I'm confused. It's finding a function
shepuryov [24]
Easy, that is the slope from (2,f(2)) to (3,f(3))

remember that the slope between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

find f(2) and f(3)
f(2)=2²+6(2)+5=4+12+5=21
f(3)=3²+6(3)+5=9+18+5=32

so the slope from (2,21) to (3,32) is (32-21)/(3-2)=11/1=11

answer is 11

Find the inverse of the function.<br> f-^1(x)= (x – 5)^3 + 1
Cloud [144]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the inverse of function y=f(x), swap variables and then solve for the original variable.

y=(x-5)^3+1\\ \\ x=(y-5)^3+1\\ \\ x-1=(y-5)^3\\ \\ \sqrt[3]{x-1}=y-5\\ \\ y=\sqrt[3]{x-1}+5\\ \\ f^{-1}(x)=\sqrt[3]{x-1}+5

Triangle HIJ has been reflected to create triangle H'I'J'. Segment HJ= H'J'= 4, segments IJ = I'J' = 7, and angles J and J' are
svlad2 [7]
The postulate that prove that the two triangles in your problem is congruent is SAS or Side Angle Side postulate. This postulate is use when the given of an equation are only 2 side and an angle and also it gives the answer or the side on which the angle is projected. By means of that you can tell or figure out that the two triangle is congruent. So the answer is letter B. SAS
