Each of the following relates to an aspect of evolution by natural selection. Explain the following. ii. Natural selection and t
dlinn [17]

The first one, ii. Natural selection and the formation of inseticide resistant insects or antibiotic resistant bacteria.

This can be explained in very simple way. As we all know, natural selection works in a way that only that adapted living beings are going to survive through a specific environment, whether it's because they can grab their food without too much work, or even that they can adapt to the weather. When we use inseticide, we are killing lots of non-resistant insects, and what's left are those that are resistant to this inseticide, and they'll reproduce again, and again we'll go through the same process, but remember, this insect is now stronger and more resistant that before.

The second case, iii. speciation and isolation give three examples how it may occur.

Well. the allopatric speciation and isolation will happen when theres a geographic barrier between one species. This one then is divided into two diffent habitats, but what can divide than could be a mountain, a tree, a river, a rock, anything. And this could be too called as a geographic isolation, because in this new environment, species are going to develop in a different way.

Which of the following is true regarding cultivation and isolation of animal viruses? View Available Hint(s) Which of the follow

.....culturing viruses that requires a human host

Answer:

Diploid cell culture lines, developed from human embryos, are widely used for culturing viruses that require a human host

Explanation

Viruses can not thrive in a non-living host or artificial media. They  are intracelular parasites  which needed living host to replicate . Cultures lines from Human embryo  in are therefore used for culturing viruses of human host, so that its mode of replication and gene expression can be studied, and therefore its virulence can easily be studied.

This method have the advantage that;

1.there is no need to make use of the whole animal rather,on a tiny tissue needed can be isolated for culture.

2. the cells growth is continuous, and can be preserved in liquid Nitrogen and renew for future culture

3. cells can be grown in different containers,  with ability to decide the number of cells needed.

Temperature is kept at optimum for human in the culture at  37 degree centigrade, nutrients are provided, NaHC03 as buffers for C02, and  the medium is humidified.

The scientific method provides the framework for all scientific research, including nutrition science. Choose the statement belo
Andrews [41]

Answer:

1) d. observe phenomenon; generate hypothesis, conduct experiment, accept, reject, or modify hypothesis.

C. A study that compares a aroup of people with diabetes to a similar aroup of people without diabetes is an example of a case-control study.

Explanation:

Scientific method is a step by step procedure ranging from observing a problem to actual experimentation that aims at investigating a problem. The steps involved in the scientific method are as follows:

a)observe phenomenon; This precedes every experiment in the scientific method.

b) generate hypothesis: This is a testable explanation given as a possible solution to the observed problem.

c) conduct experiment: The hypothesis is tested via experimentation.

d) accept, reject, or modify hypothesis: Based on the result of the experiment, the hypothesis can be rejected, accepted or even modified.

Question 2:

Case control study is a type of study design that uses or compares a group of affected individuals (by a disease) called CASES and unaffected individuals called CONTROL. In this case, A study that compares a group of people with diabetes (cases) to a similar aroup of people without diabetes (control) is an example of a case-control study.
