Answer:

Given that, Vasudevan invested ₹ 60,000

For Compound Interest (C.I.)

A = P[1 + (r/100)]n

P = ₹ 60,000

n = 6 months and 1 year

R = 12% p.a. compounded half-yearly

where , A = Amount, P = Principal, n = Time period and R = Rate percent

(i) For easy calculation of compound interest, we will put Interest Rate as 6% half-yearly and n = 1.

Compound Interest to be paid for 6 months

A = P[1 + (r/100)]n

A = 60000[1 + (6/100)]1

A = 60000[(100/100) + (6/100)]

A = 60000 × (106/100)

A = 60000 × 1.06

A = ₹ 63600

(ii) Compound Interest to be paid for 12 months (1 year) compounded half yearly.

So, assume n = 2, r = 6%

A = P[1 + (r/100)]n

A = 60000[1 + (6/100)]2

A = 60000[(100/100) + (6/100)]2

A = 60000 × (106/100) × (106/100)

A = 60000 × (11236/10000)

A = 60000 × 1.1236

A = ₹ 67416

GenaCL600 [577]

The maximum revenue is $700 which is at 16 combo A and 12 combo B.

<h3>Inequality</h3>

An inequality is an expression that shows the non equal comparison of two or more numbers and variables.

Let x represent the number of combo A and y represent the number of combo B, hence:

10x + 20y ≤ 400 (1)

Also:

x + y ≤ 28   (2)

The solution is at (16,12). Hence:

Revenue = 21.25 * 16 + 30 * 12 = $700

The maximum revenue is $700 which is at 16 combo A and 12 combo B.

jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

\frac{5}{56} salt does she need for her recipe.

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the statement:

For her recipe:

She needs = \frac{5}{7} of a cup of sugar.

It is also given that: 1/8 as much salt as sugar.

⇒ She needs salt for her recipe = \frac{1}{8} \cdot \frac{5}{7} = \frac{5}{7 \cdot 8} = \frac{5}{56}

Therefore, \frac{5}{56} salt does she need for her recipe.
