Let the the two given supplementary angles be A & B respectively. Ratio of angle A to the ratio of angle B is 5/7. And we've been asked to find out the measure of angle A & B.

As we know that supplementary angle are the ones which have the sum of angles and tend to 180°. Thus we can write by forming equation that,

:\implies\rm{a + b = 180 \: ...(1)}

:\implies\rm{b = 180 - a \: ...(2)}

Now as per the given ratio we can write,

:\implies\rm{ \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{5}{7} }

:\implies\rm{7a = 5b}

:\implies\rm{7a = 5(180 - a) \: ...(from \: 2)}

:\implies\rm{7a = 900 - 5a}

:\implies\rm{7a + 5a = 900}

:\implies\rm{12a = 900}

:\implies\rm{a =  \frac{900}{12} }

:\implies\rm{a = 75}

Now by equation (2) we can write,

:\implies\rm{b = 180 - a \: ...(from \: 2)}

:\implies\rm{b = 180 - 75}

:\implies\rm{b = 105}

  • The measure of angles are 75° and 105°.

Answer:

75 degrees and 105 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Supplementary angles are those angles that sum up to 180 degrees

So angle A + B = 180 or B = 180 - A

then A/B = 5/7

7A = 5B

7A = 5(180 - A)

7A = 900 - 5A

12A = 900

A = 75

then B = 180 - A = 180 - 75 = 105

GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

2.45 gallons of gasoline were in the tank before.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

The tank can hold 12\frac{3}{4} gallons of gasoline when completely full. He had some gas in the tank and added 10.3 gallons of gasoline to fill it completely.

We need to find: How many gallons of gasoline were in the tank before Javier added some?

For this, we need to subtract added gallons of gasoline from the capacity of the tank.

12\frac{3}{4}-10.3=\frac{51}{4}-10.3

=12.75-10.3

=2.45

Hence, 2.45 gallons of gasoline were in the tank before.

ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle is 17/8 or 17:8

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of Diagonal = 34 inches

Length of side = 16 inches

Base= 30 inches

We need to find the ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle.

ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle = \frac{length of diagonal}{length of side}

Putting values:

Ratio=\frac{34}{16} \\Simplifying:\\Ratio=\frac{17}{8}

So, ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle is 17/8 or 17:8

The dimensions (width and length) of room1 have been read into two variables : width1 and length1 . The dimensions of room2 have
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Total area of the two rooms   =   (width1length1) +   (width2length2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the rectangular shape is given by = Length * breadth

Therefore the area of the two rooms can be calculated using the above formula when the variables lengths and widths are given.

Area 1= Area of the first room = length * breadth=  (width1length1)

Area 2=Area of the second room = length * breadth=  (width2length2)

Total area of the two rooms = Area1 + Area 2

                                         =   (width1length1) +   (width2length2)
