Some things stop because they run out of energy.
When it is transferred and to other objects, or their kinetic energy (or any type of KE) is converted into gravitational energy (or any type of PE).

URGENT - This is not really specific but I have a chemistry test really soon and I still don't understand how to balance chemica
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

- the key thing to note is that balancing is simply having equal amounts of all the compounds in an equation

1) look at how many there are in each compound i.e. cl2 has 2 and HCl has 1 hydrogen and 1 chlorine

2) balance the reactants with its products

this is done by adding a number in front of a compound

e.g. ch4 + cl2 = ccl4 + hcl

balanced: ch4 + 4cl2 = ccl4 + 4hcl

this is because there isnt equal elements of the compounds

If 18.0 kJ of energy are applied to 250. grams of water at 37°C, what will be the final temperature
zaharov [31]

Answer:

54.1°C

Explanation:

Now we have the following parameters from the question;

Heat applied (H)= 18.0×10^3 Joules

Mass of the water(m)= 250g= 0.25Kg

Initial temperature of the water (θ1)= 37°C

Final temperature of the water (θ2)= the unknown

Heat capacity of water (c) = 4200JKg-1

From ;

H= mc(θ2-θ1)

Substituting values appropriately

18×10^3= 0.25 × 4200(θ2-37)

18×10^3 = 0.25 × (4200θ2 - 155400)

18×10^3 = 1050θ2 - 38850

18×10^3 + 38850 = 1050θ2

56850 = 1050θ2

θ2= 56850/1050

θ2= 54.1°C

Calculate the Ka for the following acid. Determine if it is a strong or weak acid. HClO2(aq) dissolves in aqueous solution to fo
Talja [164]

Answer:

The value of Ka = 1.1*10^{-2}

It is a weak  acid

Explanation:

   From the question we are told that

             The concentration of [HClO_2]=0.24M

             The concentration of  [H^+]=0.051M

             The concentration of  [ClO_2^-]=0.051M

Generally the equation for the ionic dissociation of HClO_2 is

                HClO_2_(aq) -------> H^{+}_{(aq)} + ClO_2^{-}_{(aq)}

The equilibrium constant is mathematically represented as

                         Ka = \frac{concentration  \ of  \ product  }{concentration \ of \  reactant }

                               = \frac{[H^+][ClO_2^-]}{[HClO_2]}

Substituting values since all value of concentration are at equilibrium

                    Ka = \frac{0.051 * 0.051}{0.24}

                          = 1.1*10^{-2}

Since the value of  is less than 1 it show that in water it dose not completely

disassociated  so it an acid that is weak

How many mg of O2 will react with the TNT?

 TNT has the molecular formula: C7H5N3O6.
