Well for choice #3 Daisy is emotionally attached to Gatsby’s shirts because they represent what could have been, and the wrong decision she made. Daisy moved on with Tom because she didn’t see a future with Gatsby that had money in it, they only had love. Daisy wanted to live in luxury and at the time, Tom had more than Gatsby. The shirts are fancy and imported, and she is now feeling the impact of her decision. She’s seeing what could have been, and realizing she could have been with the person she ACTUALLY loved AND lived comfortably.
When her mind starts to deteriorate (and she realizes that there is nobody she can talk to about her condition), the narrator starts to convince herself that there is a woman (first starting with just imagining eyes) trapped in the yellow wallpaper. She then starts to believe that she must free the woman from the wallpaper, which leads to her gradually ripping it off.
Afterward,she becomes extremely ill, she realizes that the woman in the wallpaper is her, and when she removes it from the wall, she is free.
