1-15 has only 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 as odd number therefore a total of 8 odd numbers within 1-15 so that would be 8/15 probability of it being an odd number (I’m not too sure of this sorry)

Find the answer to 3(q+34)=2
xz_007 [3.2K]

Hey there!

3(q + 34)= 2

First distribute:

3(q) + 3(34)

3(q) = 3q

3(34) = 102

New equation: 3q + 102 = 2

Subtract by 102 on each of your sides:

3q + 102 - 102 = 2 - 102

Cancel out: 102 - 102 because it gives us 0

Keep: 2 - 102 because it helps us solve for our q

2 - 102 = - 100

New equation: 3q = -100

Divide both sides by 3

3q/3 = -100/3

Cancel out: -3q/3 because it gives us 1

Keep: -100/3 because it gives us the answer for q

Answer: q = -100/3 ✅

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

A car travels along a straight stretch of road. It proceeds for 16.2 mi at 57 mi/h, then 24.6 mi at 44 mi/h, and finally 45.1 mi
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

The average velocity the entire trip was 43.25 mi/h

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case we have to calculate an average based on the miles traveled. First we have to calculate the total of miles traveled, then calculate the portion of the total travel of each and with this calculate the average speed during the trip. First the total miles traveled:

TotalMiles=16.2+24.6+45.1=85.9

Now the percentages:

At 57 mi/h were \frac{16.2}{85.9}=0.19

At 44 mi/h were \frac{24.6}{85.9}=0.29

At 37.8 mi/h were \frac{45.1}{85.9}=0.52

Now multiplying the speed by the portion and summing them we can have the average velocity:

57*0.19+44*0.29+37.8*0.52=43.25

The average velocity the entire trip was 43.25 mi/h

You want to save $4,500 to buy an above-ground swimming pool. You deposit $3,750 in an account earning 5.5% simple interest. Aft
Arlecino [84]
Assuming the price of the pool does not change, then
Additional interest required is 4500-3750=750
using
I=Pit, we set up equation
750=3750*0.055*t
Solve for t
t=750/(3750*0.055)=3.64  years.
So will need to wait 3.64 years, or rounded up to 4 years.
