10x = -5

x= -0.5

Answer:

4(3x - 4)=-(-2x+21)

12x - 16 = 2x - 21

12x - 2x =  - 21 + 16

10x =  - 5

x =  \frac{ - 5}{10}

x = -  0.5

Please help I dont understand
Studentka2010 [4]

Step-by-step explanation:

When it says y varies directly with x it just means that y and x are proportional/equal to each other. The constant of variation and the constant of proportionality are the same thing just different way of saying it so they can confuse you and make your life miserable. Since y and x are proportional to each other and the constant of proportionalty is -5 to make an equation that represents a line you use the formula y=mx+b. That is the slope of the line. With that formula let's first plus in the x so we have y=m2+b. The formula for direct variation is y=kx as well that's good to know and it's good to memorize all these formulas. Math becaomes easier when you have the process down pat and you just need to plug numbers into different equations, expressions, and scenarios. Do m = [y1 - y2] / [x1 - x2] and you'll get the answer.

Write the standard form of the line that passes through the given points. include your work in your final answer. type your answ
timurjin [86]
Standard form is ax+by=c wher a and b and c ar integers

another
y-y1=m(x-x1)
that is the equation of a line that has a slope of m and passes through (x1,y1)

find slope

slope between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(-3,5) and (-2,-6)
slope=(-6-5)/(-2-(-3))=(-11)/(-2+3)=-11/1=-11

a point is (-2,-6)
y+6=-11(x+2)
distribute
y+6=-11x-22
add 11x both sides
11x+y+6=-22
minus 6 both sides
11x+y=-28

How to add numbers to percentages? For example, 20+300%. I really want to know how to do this but i cant figure out . I really w
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

80

Step-by-step explanation:

If your calculator does not have a percent key and you want to add a percentage to a number multiply that number by 1 plus the percentage fraction. For example 25000+9% = 25000 x 1.09 = 27250. To subtract 9 percent multiply the number by 1 minus the percentage fraction. Example: 25000 - 9% = 25000 x 0.91 = 22750.
