Β decay can happens in two ways as β⁻ decay and β⁺ decay.

β⁻ decay is a conversion of neutron into a proton by emission of an electron.
If β⁻ decay happens, then the daughter nucleus will have same number of mass. But the number of protons will be increased by 1 and number of neutrons will be decreased by 1 compared to parent nucleus.

β⁺ decay is a conversion of proton into a neutron by emitting a positron.
If β⁺ decay happens, then the daughter nucleus will have same number of mass. But the number of protons will be decreased by 1 and number of neutrons will be increased by 1 compared to parent nucleus.

10. Copper(i) bromide reacts with magnesium metal: 2 CuBr + Mg → 2 Cu + MgBrz
velikii [3]

Answer:

72.6 grams

Explanation:

I got this answer through stoichiometry. For every 1 mole of Mg, 2 moles of CuBr are consumed. Because of this, multiply the moles of Mg by 2. Then, convert moles to grams.

Which type of bond is found in many carbon-to-carbon bonds in canola oil, but very few carbon-to-carbon bonds in butter? a.)C–C
PtichkaEL [24]
B.)C=C is the right answer.
because having more double bonds than single bonds decreases the melting point and, hence, the fluidity of the substance this is why butter is a solid but canola oil is a liquid at room temperature.

AfilCa [17]
MgCl₂ ---> Mg(2+) + 2Cl(-)
0,01-x.............x.............2x

MgCl₂ ---> Mg(2+) + 2Cl(-)

What would be the most likely charge of an ion formed from an atom with the electron configuration:
umka2103 [35]

Answer;

+2

Explanation;

 • The electron configuration ofthe atom is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2. Upon forming an ion, its new configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6.
 • The atom has lost two electrons to form an ion which is positively charged with a charge of +2.
 • In the given electronic configuration of an atom, '3s' shell is the outermost shell in which two electrons are present. For the stable configuration, these two electrons will be lost easily from the outer shell and atom will carry (+2).
 • The atom has 12 electrons, and looses 2 electrons to attain stable configuration forming a positively charged ion with 10 electrons.
