Solution

Doing this by hand can be a bit of trouble. I think the easiest way is to multiply the first and third together and then worry about the middle one.

$\dfrac{2}{3}*\dfrac{1}{4}=\dfrac{2*1}{3*4}=\dfrac{2}{12}=\dfrac{1}{6}$

now just multiply your answer from the above job with the middle fraction.

$\dfrac{1}{6}*\dfrac{12}{17} =\dfrac{1*12}{6*17}=\dfrac{2}{17}$

because 12 ÷ 6 = 2
