B at most 3 times

2 3/4 - 1 1/4 = 1 1/2

1 1/2 ÷ 1/2 = 3

used 1/2 ounce 3 times

so I'd say the answer is b at most 3 times because he couldn't have used it more than 3 times

Textbooks are exempted from PST in Ontario. If the total cost of a book
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

4.24

Step-by-step explanation:

Total price = price of the book + 5% of the price of the book

T = total price   P = price of the book G = GST

T = P + G

and

G = 5% of P = 0.05P

therefore

T = P + 5%P = 1P + 0,05P = 1.05P

P = T/1.05 = 89/1.05 ≅ 84.76 (it is 84.7619047619)

G = 89 - 84.76 = 4.24

A rectangle has a perimeter of 204 feet. It's length is six feet longer than twice it's width. If L stands for the length of the
Ratling [72]

Answer:

L = 70

W = 32

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 2L + 2W

P 204 feet

W = x

L  = 2x + 6

P = 2L + 2W

P = 2*(2x + 6) + 2*x

P = 4x + 12 + 2x

P = 6x + 12

But we know that P = 204  So 6x + 12 = 204

6x + 12 = 204                    Subtract 12 from both sides

6x + 12 - 12 = 204 - 12       Collect like terms on the right

6x = 192                             Divide by 6

x = 192/6

x = 32

Answer

W = 32

L = 2*W + 6

L = 2*32 + 6

L = 64 + 6

L = 70

Which system is equivalent to
sammy [17]

Answer:

D) 6x^2 - 8y^2 = 50

-6x^2 - 2y^2 = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following two expressions:

3x^2-4y^2=25

and

-6x^2-2y^2=11

Now if we look at the option D) 6x^2 - 8y^2 = 50
and -6x^2 - 2y^2 = 11, we can observe that the earlier part in the given expression is just a simplification of 6x^2 - 8y^2 = 50.

6x^2 - 8y^2 = 50\\\\2(3x^2-4y^2) = 50\\\\3x^2-4y^2 = \frac{50}{2} \\\\3x^2-4y^2=25

and the later part -6x^2 - 2y^2 = 11 is already the same.

Therefore, the correct answer option is D)  6x^2 - 8y^2 = 50

-6x^2 - 2y^2 = 11.
