Answer:

two

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of defective parts produced by a process in one day has a Poisson distribution with a mean of 10. Each defective part
hammer [34]

Answer:

9.48% probability that exactly 12 parts are produced in one day

Step-by-step explanation:

In a Poisson distribution, the probability that X represents the number of successes of a random variable is given by the following formula:

P(X = x) = \frac{e^{-\mu}*\mu^{x}}{(x)!}

In which

x is the number of sucesses

e = 2.71828 is the Euler number

\mu is the mean in the given interval.

The number of defective parts produced by a process in one day has a Poisson distribution with a mean of 10.

This means that \mu = 10

What is the probability that exactly 12 parts are produced in one day

This is P(X = 12).

P(X = x) = \frac{e^{-\mu}*\mu^{x}}{(x)!}

P(X = 12) = \frac{e^{-10}*(10)^{12}}{(12)!} = 0.0948

9.48% probability that exactly 12 parts are produced in one day

tina is a waitress that makes $10.40, but an average 8 hour shift for her brings in an additional $85 in tips. how much does tin
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

Tina makes per hours =\$11.925

Step-by-step explanation:

Tina makes 8 hours =\$10.40

and additional tips =\$85

total amount makes for 8 hours = \$10.40+\$85

total amount makes for 8 hours =\$95.40

total amount makes for 1 hours =\frac{total\ amount}{total\ time}\\\\=\frac{\$95.40}{8}\\\\=\$11.925

Pythagoras thereom ? help
Nutka1998 [239]

It looks like you have to do distance formula. It's basically this:

D = \sqrt{(y_{2}-y{1})^{2} + (x_{2}-x{1})^{2}   } (ignore the A, i dont know how to get rid of it sorry)

I would then plug in the points of A(1,7) and B(10,3).

D = \sqrt{(7-3)^2 + (10-1)^2  }

Then I would get the square root of 4^2 + 9^2

= square root of 16 + 81

= square root of 97

So the length of AB would be the square root of 97

Given the digits 2,5,7,9, 4, and 1, how many 4-digit codes can be made if 4 points
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

144

Step-by-step explanation:

first digit of the code: only 2 and 4 are the only even numbers availible, so only 2 possibilities for the first digit.

2nd digit of code: 2,5,7,9,1 so 6 possibilities for the 2nd digit.

3rd digit of code: 2,5,7,9,1 so 6 possibilities for the 3rd digit.

4th digit of code: only 7 and 9 are greater tyhan 6 so only 2 possibilities for the 4th digit.

SO...

2 x 6 x 6 x 2 = 144
