There are different kinds of experiment. The planned admission of several psychologists into psychiatric institutions was called the Rosenhan experiment.

Psychiatry is simply known to be the branch of medicine that is often based on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.

Psychiatrists are regarded as qualified doctor who assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological issues of humans.

The Rosenhan experiment is also known as the Thud experiment. It is known as an experiment conducted to know the validity of psychiatric diagnosis. The participants involved were people who feigned hallucinations so as to enter psychiatric hospitals but acted normally thereafter.

They were then diagnosed with psychiatric disorders and antipsychotic medication was given to them.
