Answer:

about the same rate

Explanation:

Based on the information provided within the question it can be said that progress made during the school year is about the same rate regardless of the background of the children. Researchers believe this is because all of the students are being taught with the same curriculum as one another regardless of their backgrounds, therefore they progress at about the same rate.

Why is the Latin language important to medicine and law
Paraphin [41]

Students who study Latin develop an interest in words. They learn something they had never thought of before. ... So, Latin is the next step after phonics because it continues the study of the Latin half of English vocabulary in a systematic, orderly way. Skip the vocabulary courses. Latin was an one of the original medical and law languages.

I hope it helps somehow.

In his book, Savage Inequalities, former teacher Jonathan Kozol conducted an ethnography of public schools in major cities acros
Serggg [28]

Answer: by using local property taxes to fund public schools, trapping poor children in poor schools

Explanation: Jonathan Kozol is an American writer, educator, and activist best known for his publications on public education in the United States. In savage inequalities, Kozol pointed out how students from poor family background are trapped in poorly funded schools since public school funding comes from local property taxes which vary widely between communities.

The basis of Kozol's argument is the comparisons between rich and poor school districts, in particular the amount of money spent per child. School districts with relatively wealthy property-owners are spending over $20,000 per year per child while school districts where poor people live spend about $11,000 per year per child.

The pertinent question he asks is whether it is fair or right that the place of one's birth or residence should determine the quality of education a child is entitled to.

Why do you think after the war is over, the next era (Reconstruction) will be extremely
g100num [7]
Just. because formal battles have ended, does not mean both sides will accept the outcome. Prejudice and need for cheap labor was still deeply ingrained.

The confederate south had been devastated by the Civil War. Money and law enforcement from Union military would be required., for years! The US treasury did not make enough budgeted funds available for equitable reconstruction. Blocking pro-freedmen legislation.

Many of former confederate states would send pro-slavery/anti negro representatives to US House and Senate.

Political squabbling would continue with the compromise of 18xx would remove federal troops. Dominant white racist ideals would prevail. Banks not loaning to freed slaves, only at unreasonable high interest rates, would reduce business and land ownership.

Josef, a high school student, tells his therapist that he has had a recurring dream in which hehunts and kills a ferocious tiger
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

B.latent

Explanation:

According to Sigmund Freud, there are two distinct types of dream content including, manifest content and the latent content. He argued that an individual's dream represents his or her disguised fulfillment or completion of a particular repressed wish and it provides the way of understanding the unconscious feelings or activities of an individual's mind.

Latent content: In psychology, the term latent content is defined as an individual's hidden dream aspect that describes a psychological meaning of his or her dream. It generally appears in a symbolically disguised way. The latent content of an individual's dream encompasses things that are hidden from the person's conscious awareness.

In the question above, the statement signifies the latent content of Josef's dream.

What happened to the jewish people when they were living in Egypt?
quester [9]

According to Jewish tradition, the Israelites were in Egypt for 210 years (Rashi commentary, on Exodus ch.12). For the first century, they lived in peace and plenty, as long as Joseph and his brothers were still living. After that, they were enslaved by the Egyptians. The enslavement was gradual, in steps, eventually becoming harsh and crushing (Exodus ch.1). At the end of that time, God sent Moses (Exodus ch.3) to demand that Pharaoh free the Israelites; and He brought plagues upon Egypt (Exodus ch.7-12) when Pharaoh refused.

As a related topic, a brief biography of Moses may be pertinent here:

Moses was born 245 years after the death of Abraham. Pharaoh had decreed that Israelite boys be killed (Exodus ch.1), but the daughter of Pharaoh took pity on the infant Moses (Exodus ch.2) and raised him as her own son. He was forced to flee after killing a cruel Egyptian taskmaster, and went to Midian, where he wedded the daughter of Jethro. He eventually achieved the highest level of prophecy (Deuteronomy ch.34) and was called upon by God (Exodus ch.3).

The importance of Moses cannot be overstated. He brought the Israelites out of Egyptian slavery (Exodus ch.12). He received the Torah from God (Exodus 24:12) and later recorded it in writing (Deuteronomy 31:24). He went up on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights (Deuteronomy ch.9-10) and brought down the Two Stone Tablets with the Ten Commandments (Exodus 31:18). He brought the Israelites into the covenant with God (Exodus ch.19 and ch.24), and he oversaw the building of the Tabernacle (Exodus ch.35-40). He was the humblest of men and the greatest of prophets (Numbers ch.12).
