King George lll and Parliament believed they had the right to tax the American colonies. A lot of the colonists felt they shouldn’t pay these taxes because they were passed in England by Parliament, not by their own colonial governments that were right there. Answer:

E) Felix Haywood.

Explanation:

Felix Haywood was a former slave who was born into the system and worked numerous jobs as a slave. He was employed under the landowner William Gudlow in San Antonio, Texas.

In his interview taken in Texas in 1937, he stated <em>"We knowed freedom was on us, but we didn’t know  what was to come with it. We thought we was goin’ to git  rich like the white folks. We thought we was goin’ to be  richer than the white folks, ’cause we was stronger and  knowed how to work, and the whites didn’t and they  didn’t have us to work for them anymore. But it didn’t  turn out that way. How were government and society affected by the vietnam war?
Kisachek [45]
The Cold War was a global competition between US and Soviet Union. Both sides believed in different ideologies and approaches to economy and social development led to the conflict between two superpowers. The collapse of the USSR and its communist system provided considerable changes in foreign policies of many countries, including the United States. The Vietnam War started in 1957 which divided Vietnam into 2 nations at the 38th parallel. The Vietnam War was fought between communist North Vietnam and the government of South Vietnam. North was supported by communist and South was supported by anti-communist, USA. The goal was to maintain a separate independent, non communist government. It was between the communist government of North Vietnam and Vietnam Congress (Communist led by guerrillas) against the anti-communist South Vietnam and it's ally, US. The US decided to help South Vietnam due to the policy of containment, stopping communism to spread and its influence around the world. This was not successful because today Vietnam is a Communist nation.
