Which sentence best shows a strong thesis statement?
Allisa [31]

Answer:

I'd imagine the correct answer is the third one, "The story illustrates that growing up can be a painful experience".

Explanation:

Well, numbers 2 and 4 just explain the story's setting, they don't really demonstrate the story's main theme or lesson. Number 1 is, like, super vague as well. Like, it could be describing a million different stories. Number 3, however, displays the story's main theme and has a statement that can be backed up with evidence from that story. So, the sentence that best shows a strong thesis statement is the third statement.

Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

I would say the specific and focused thesis statement is number 1, the wolfs diet consists of eating a number of things, including elk, deer, moose and bison.

Explanation:

I would say this because it's describing what the wolf eats with specific nouns and it's focused on the wolf's diet.

Tatiana [17]

Answer:

The term ramshackle seems to infer that the houses in the neighborhood are not in tip top shape , so the neighborhood consists of people who are not financially elevated. But Miss Lottie's home is the worst of them all. It's old and unkept. Which could suggest that Miss Lottie herself is old.
