This week at HEB, pork chops cost $1.60 per pound. Steve bought 2 1/4 pounds of pork chops. If he paid with a $10 bill, how much
kompoz [17]

Answer:

He received $6.40 in change.

Explanation:

Since he bought 2.25 pounds, you multiply that by 1.6 to get a sum of 3.6. Since he paid with a ten dollar bill, and he only has to pay 3.60, they will give him back 6.40 in change.

Hope this helped :)

Find X please.......

So Angle 5 = 1x - 7 and angle 2 = -2x + 18. You can work out that angle 1 is the same as angle 5 because corresponding angles are equal. Then you know that angle 1 + angle 2 = 180 because angles on a straight line add to 180. So therefore 1x - 7 -2x + 18 = 180 so -1x + 11 = 180 so -x = 169 so x = -169. Hope this helps :)

HDTV screens usually have a width-to-heigh ratio of 16:9. Which screen dimensions are in the same proportion?
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

4: 3

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case, we have that there is a relationship between width and height, which is 16: 9, which means that any screen that has the same ratio would be an identical screen.

How would we do this? it must either be raised to a power or rationalized on both sides of the ratio.

If we raise to a power, it would give very large dimensions for an HDTV, therefore, it is best to remove the square root on both sides, since it has more common values for a TV.

\sqrt{16} :\sqrt{9}

4: 3

Therefore, a 4: 3 screen is a good choice for an HDTV with the same ratio.

find a positive angle less than one revolution around the unit circle that is co-terminal with the given angle -15pi/17
natta225 [31]
ANSWER
=\frac{19}{17} \pi

EXPLANATION

To find a positive angle that is coterminal with
- \frac{15}{17} \pi

We add multiples of 2π until we get a positive angle that is less than one revolution,

We add to obtain,

- \frac{15}{17} \pi + 2\pi

This simplifies to,

= \frac{19}{17} \pi

This is the first positive angle that is coterminal with
- \frac{15}{17} \pi

and is less than one revolution.

Nadia is a stockbroker. She earns 13% commission each week. Last week, she sold $4,500 worth of stocks. How much did she make
m_a_m_a [10]

Multiply amount sold by commission rate:

4500 x 0.13 = 585

She made $585 last week.

Multiply amount made in 1 week by 52 weeks ( 1 year = 52 weeks)

585 x 52 = 30,420

She made $30,420 in 2011
