Based on the amount that both of them are depositing as well as their beginning balance, they will have the same amount <u>after 5 weeks. </u>

The formula to find out Andy's account after n weeks is:

<em>= Beginning amount + Number of weeks x Amount deposited per week</em>

= 400 + 10n

For Rachel it would be:

= 250 + 40n

Equate both of these to find the week they will be equal:

400 + 10n = 250 + 40n

400 - 250 = 40n - 10n

150 = 30n

n = 150/30

n = 5 weeks

In conclusion, it will take 5 weeks for their balances to be equal.

When graphing the first line of the system of equations, what do you plot first on the coordinate plane?

Answer:

Option B, y intercept of -4

Step-by-step explanation:

Option A is incorrect because you cannot use the slope because you don't know where or what point to start from.

<em>Option B is correct because the first thing you do is plot the y intercept of -4 and then you find the slope of the line.</em>

<em />

Option C is incorrect because you cannot use the slope because you don't know where or what point to start from.

Option D is incorrect because that is the wrong y intercept.

HURRY! What value of m completed the two-way table?
vlabodo [156]
<h3>Answer:  13</h3>

=========================================================

Explanation:

We're told that there are 50 people in each grade that are surveyed. So that means 50 eighth graders were surveyed.

Add up the values along the bottom row. Set the sum equal to 50 and solve for m

m+8+29 = 50

m+37 = 50

m = 50-37

m = 13

Then note how 13+8+29 = 50 along the bottom row. Also, for the top row we have 17+15+18 = 50 as well.

When instructed to find the length of HJ in right
kobusy [5.1K]

See attachement for the diagram of the triangle

Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

To find the length of HJ, we can use different equations as follows:

✔️Recall: SOHCAHTOA

Let's take <G as the reference angle = 28°

Opposite side to reference angle = HJ

Hypotenuse = 20

Apply SOH.

Thus:

Sin 28° = opp/hyp

Sin 28° = HJ/20 (Alex's equation is correct).

Solving further, we would have:

HJ = Sin 28 * 20 ≈ 9.4

✔️Another way is by using <H as the reference angle.

m<H = 180° - (90° + 28°) (sum of triangle)

m<H = 62°

Adjacent side to reference angle (<H) = HJ

Hypotenuse = 20

Apply CAH:

Cos 62° = Adj/Hyp

Cos 62° = HJ/20 (Marlene's equation is correct)

Solving further, we would have,

HJ = Cos 62° * 20 ≈ 9.4

As you can see, the equation of both students are correct. Both would arrive at the same answer using any of the two equations.
