Before the 4p orbit starts to fill, the element must have:

1s², 2s², 2p⁶, 3s², 3p⁶, 4s², 3d¹⁰,

which is Zn.

Depending on the number of electrons in the 4p, the element might be Ga to Kr, inclusive

Two objects are being lifted by a machine. One object has a mass of 2 kg, and is lifted at a speed of 2
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

Kinetic energy = (1/2) (mass) (speed²)

First object: (1/2) (2 kg) (2 m/s)² = 4 joules .

Second object: (1/2) (4 kg) (3 m/s)² = 18 joules .

The second object had more kinetic energy than the first one had.

The density of blood is 1.05 kg/m3, find the mass of a bag of blood for a transfusion, if the volume is 1.5 m3.
hoa [83]

(1.5 m^3) • (1.05 kg/m^3) = 1.575 kg.  That's quite a bag you've got there !  1 m^3 is like 264 gallons of blood.  Hope the poor patient survives the transfusion. Also, the actual density of blood is around 1.05 g/cm^3, or 1050 kg/m^3. The blood they're giving the guy in this question is about 18% less dense than the AIR in his hospital room, and they're pumping 264 gallons of it into him. Maybe THAT'S his whole problem.

An alien spaceship 8x10^14m away sends us a radio wave signal. How long does it take for the signal to reach us?
Nata [24]
Time = distance/speed

Time = 8•10^14m / 3•10^8m/s

Time = about 2.7•10^6 seconds.
That's about 31 Earth days.
