Step-by-step explanation:

Annie = x

Brianna = y

Carly = z

Now,

x + y + z = 105 ...(1)

Carly has sold ten more than three times Brianna's sales.

z = 10 + 3y ...(2)

Brianna sold five more than Annie.

y = 5 + x ...(3)

Now,

z = 10 + 3y

z = 10 + 3(5 + x)

z = 10 + 15 + 3x

z = 25 + 3x

Now,

x + y + z = 105

x + (5 + x) + 25 + 3x = 105

5x + 30 = 105

5x = 105 - 30

5x = 75

5x/5 = 75/5

x = 15

So,

y = 5 + x

y = 5 + 15

y = 20

Now,

z = 25 + 3x

z = 25 + 3(15)

z = 25 + 45

z = 70

Thus,

Annie Sold 15 boxes

Brianna Sold 20 boxes

Carly Sold 70 boxes

A shirt is regularly priced at 42$. It is on sale for 15% off of the regular price. What is the sale price of the shirt ?
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

$35.7

Step-by-step explanation:

you can convert 15% to a decimal by dividing by 100.

15/100 = .15

if you multiply the decimal by the cost of the shirt you get how much the discount is.

0.15 * $42 = 6.30

so a 15% discount on a $42 shirt is $6.30 off. So you subtract the discount from the total cost.

$42 - $6.30 = $35.70 that is the sale price of the shirt.

The equation C = 30x+120 represents the cost of producing gaming chairs. The equation R = 50x represents the revenue generated b
ANEK [815]

Answer:

6 chairs

Step-by-step explanation:

The break even Point on gaming chairs can be expressed as :

Revenue = Cost

Revenue, R = 50x

Cost, C = 30x + 120

R = C

50x = 30x + 120

50 - 30x = 120

20x = 120

Divide both sides by 20

20x/ 20 = 120 / 20

x = 6

Hence, 6 chairs must be sold for the company to break even.

Which of the following has no solution?
Softa [21]

Answer:

(x + 1 s 1) n (x + 12 1)

(x +1<1) n (x + 1 > 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Just simplify each the statements.

Then compare and and see if the statements are contradictory and therefore FALSE, if so, then there is no solution.

(x + 1<-1) n (x + 1< 1)

(x <-2) n (x < 0) which is true, so there is a solution.

(x + 1 s 1) n (x + 12 1)

this doesn't make sense so there is no solution.

(x +1<1) n (x + 1 > 1)

(x < 0) n (x > 0)

This is not possible, the statements are contradictory and therefore FALSE, so there is no solution.
