$\frac{MN}{NP} = \frac{4}{5}$

$MP = 26 - 8$

$MP = 18$

$MP \div (4 + 5) = 18 \div (4 + 5)$

$\frac{MP}{9} = \frac{18}{9}$

$\frac{MP}{9} = 2$

Thus;

$MN = 2 \times 4$

$MN = 8$

and

$NP = 2 \times 5$

$NP = 10$

So the location of N is :

$N = 8 + 8 \: \: or \: \: N = 26 - 10$

$N = 16$
