A speed-time graph is shown below:
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

It traveled 4 centimeters.

Explanation:

In a speed versus time graph, the distance travelled is given by the area under the graph.

In this graph we have the following:

- The speed of the object is v = 1 cm/s between time t = 0 s and t = 4 s

- The speed of the object is v = 0 cm/s between time t = 4 s and t = 8 s

Since the speed in the second part is zero, the distance travelled in the second part is zero. So, the only distance travelled by the object is the distance travelled during the first part, which is equal to the area of the first rectangle:

d=v\Delta t=(1)(4-0)=4 cm

Artist 52 [7]
The correct answer should be C. Hydroelectric power stations can only produce enough energy for a small town as they do not produce large quantities

Hydroelectric power stations can power even large cities that have millions of people.

In a physics laboratory experiment, a coil with 200 turns enclosing an area of 11.8 cm^2 is rotated during the time interval 4.9
Zanzabum

Answer:

Explanation:

Flux through the coil = nBA , n is no of turns , B is magnetic flux and A a is area of the coli

= 200 x 5.6 x 10⁻⁵ x 11.8 x 10⁻⁴

= 13216 x 10⁻⁹ weber .

b ) When the coil becomes parallel to magnetic field , flux through it will become zero.

c ) e m f induced = change in flux / time

= 13216 x 10⁻⁹ / 4.9 x 10⁻²

= 2697.14 x 10⁻⁷ V

= 269.7 x10⁻⁶

269.7 μV.

The two waves shown below pass through the same medium in the phases shown and interfere with each other.
ale4655 [162]

A. W

Explanation:

The wave that would be produced by the interaction of the two waves shown in the diagram is wave W.

There is no wave in the diagram W.

This type of interference is known as destructive interference.

  • Destructive interference occurs when two waves out of phase comes together.
  • In this way, they cancel out each other and are terminated.
  • If the two waves are in phase, they will reinforce one another.
  • When waves reinforce one another, a constructive interference has occurred.

Is there an eclipse happening soon in England
lyudmila [28]

A solar eclipse will be visible over a wide area of the north polar region
on Friday, March 20.

England is not in the path of totality, but it's close enough so that a large
part of the sun will be covered, and it will be a spectacular sight.

For Londoners, the eclipse begins Friday morning at 8:25 AM,when the
moon just begins to eat away at the sun's edge. It advances slowly, as more
and more of the sun disappears, and reaches maximum at 9:31 AM. Then
the obscured part of the sun begins to shrink, and the complete disk is
restored by the end of the eclipse at 10:41AM, after a period of 2 hours
16 minutes during which part of the sun appears to be missing.

The catch in observing the eclipse is:

YOU MUST NOT LOOK AT THE SUN.

Staring at the sun for a period of time can cause permanent damage to
your vision, even though you don't feel it while it's happening.

This is not a useful place to try and give you complete instructions or
suggestions for observing the sun over a period of hours. Please look
in your local newspaper, or search online for phrases like "safe eclipse
viewing".
