I need an answer QUICK on this one. I just want to ask, two of the same atoms bonded together will almost always form a nonpolar

molecule, correct? Because they share the same number of electrons?

Answer:

Correct:

Explanation:

A Nonpolar Covalent Bond is made when molecules share their electrons similarly. This ordinarily happens when two particles have comparable or the same electron fondness. The closer the values of their electron fondness, the more grounded the fascination. This occurs in gas atoms, moreover known as diatomic components.

I hope this helps :) If it doesn't, tell me in the comments below what I need to fill in :)

Olin [163]

Answer:

Explanation:

Of all the given forces , london dispersion force is the weakest inter-molecular force which is temporary in nature . This force results due to two adjecent atoms or molecules becoming dipoles temporarily. This force exists among the atoms of inert gases.

Atoms having this force have lowest boiling point.

A flask containing 855 grams of water was heated. If the temperature of the water was raised from 21.0 to 85.0 degrees Celsius,
marin [14]

Answer:

The heat absorbed by the water is 228,948.48 J

Explanation:

Calorimetry is the measurement and calculation of the amounts of heat exchanged by a body or a system.

In this way, between heat and temperature there is a direct proportional relationship (Two magnitudes are directly proportional when there is a constant so that when one of the magnitudes increases, the other also decreases; and the same happens when either of the two decreases .). The constant of proportionality depends on the substance that constitutes the body and its mass, and is the product of the specific heat and the mass of the body. So, the equation that allows to calculate heat exchanges is:

Q = c * m * ΔT

where Q is the heat exchanged by a body of mass m, constituted by a substance of specific heat c and where ΔT is the variation in temperature.

In this case:

 • c= 4.184 \frac{J}{g*C}
 • m=855 g
 • ΔT= Tfinal - Tinitial= 85 °C - 21°C= 64 °C

Replacing:

Q= 4.184 \frac{J}{g*C} *855 g* 64 C

Solving:

Q= 228,948.48 J

The heat absorbed by the water is 228,948.48 J
