The total cost of the stools is $540.

<h3>The system of equations that can be used to represent the question</h3>

a + b = 32 equation 1

3a + 4a = 108 equation 2

Where:

a = three legged stools

b = four legged stools

<h3>What is the number of three legged stools bought? </h3>

In order to determine the required value, take the following steps:

Multiply equation 1 by 3

3a + 3b = 96 equation 3

Subtract equation 3 from equation 2

b = 12

<h3>What is the number of three legged stools bought? </h3>

Substitute for b in equation 1

a + 12 = 32

a = 32 - 12

a = 20

<h3>What is the total cost of the stools?</h3>

20(15) + 20(12) =

240 + 300 = $540

What is the solution to the equation? 7x + 6 = -22
trapecia [35]

C.) x = -4 is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve the equation we have to isolate x on one side of equation

Given

7x + 6 = -22

Subtracting 6 from both sides

7x+6-6=-22-6\\7x=-28

Dividing both sides by 7

\frac{7x}{7}=\frac{-28}{7}\\x=-4

Hence,

C.) x = -4 is the correct answer

Which relationship is always true for the angles r, x, y, and z of triangle ABC?
mariarad [96]

That's the second one,

180 - x = r

Whenever two lines cross we get congruent opposite angles and supplemental adjacent angles, i.e. they add to 180 degrees.

The first one is almost right; we have r+y+z=180 and r+x=180 so x=y+z not quite what was written.
