Answer:

667 N

Explanation:

\pink{\frak{Given}}\Bigg\{ \textsf{ A car weighs 6000 N on the Earth's surface.}

And we need to find out the weight of the car at a distance equal to 3 times the radius of the earth , from the centre of the earth.

We can find the acceleration due to gravity at a height h from the earth's surface as ,

\sf\longrightarrow \red{ g_h = g\bigg[ 1 +\dfrac{h}{R_e}\bigg]^{-2}}

  • The height here will be 3R - R = 2R , since 3R is the distance from the centre of the earth .

In above equation multiply both sides by m ,

\sf\longrightarrow mg_h = mg\bigg[ 1 +\dfrac{h}{R_e}\bigg]^{-2}

Now here at the place of mg we can substitute 6000N , and mg_h will be the weight at height h which we are interested in finding .

\sf\longrightarrow W_h = 6000 \bigg[ 1 +\dfrac{2R}{R}\bigg]^{-2}\\

\sf\longrightarrow W_h = 6000 [ 1 + 2 ]^{-2}\\

\sf\longrightarrow W_h  = 6000 [ 3]^{-2}\\

\sf\longrightarrow W_h = 6000 \times \dfrac{1}{3^2}=\dfrac{6000}{9}\\

\sf\longrightarrow \boxed{\bf Weight_h = 667N \ \ (approx) }

mixas84 [53]

Answer:

d. The length of the string is equal to one-half of a wavelength

Explanation:

A stretched string of length L, fixed at both ends, is vibrating in its third harmonic. How far from the end of the string can the blade of a screwdriver be placed against the string without disturbing the amplitude of the vibration

a. The length of the sting is equal to one-quarter of a wavelength.b. The length of the string is equal to the wavelength.c. The length of the string is equal to twice the wavelength.d. The length of the string is equal to one-half of a wavelength

e. The length of the string is equal to four times the wavelength

A stretched string of length L fixed at both ends is vibrating in its third harmonic H

How far from the end of the string can the blade of a screwdriver be placed against the string without disturbing the amplitude of the vibration

d. The length of the string is equal to one-half of a wavelength

There are two points during vibration , the node and the antinode

the node is the point where the amplitude is zero.

from the third harmonics, there are two nodes. The first node is half of the wavelength which is the closest to the fixed point.

for third harmonics=3/2lamda

A copper Wire has a length of 160 m,and a diameter of 1.0 mm,if ,the wire is connected to a 1.5-Volt battery ,How much Current f
makkiz [27]
Some guidance notes which may help.To calculate the current flow, Ohm's law can be used. This can be written as current=voltage/resistance, or I=V/R. V is 1.5V.R for the copper wire quoted would be calculated as R = resistivity x length/cross sectional area. The area would be calculated from the formula area = pi x diameter squared/4So, R=resistivity x length divided by (pi x diameter squared/4)Until is the resistivity of copper is known, that's about as far as can be gone.Any further questions, please ask.

Astronomers study radio waves to learn about
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Radio astronomy began in 1933 when an engineer named Karl Jansky accidentally discovered that radio waves come not just from inventions we create but also from natural stuff in space.
