The answer for the first one would be 400m ;)

Explanation:

First we know that line A/C is 220m and that the line is cut in half by line D and if someone were to travel to line D they would have to go up then take a turn so you could cut 220m in half and get 110m. Same with line D, 580/2=290 then we add 110 and 290 and get 400, 400m.
