let's recall that a Centroid in a triangle cuts the Medians into a 2:1 ratio, or namely CG : GD are in a 2: 1 ratio, we can also look at it that the side CD is 2/3 of CD whilst GD is 1/3 of CD, so

CG=\cfrac{2}{3}CD\implies 17.7=\cfrac{2CD}{3}\implies 3(17.7)=2CD \\\\\\ \cfrac{3(17.7)}{2}=CD\implies 26.55=CD

Answer:

Confidence interval variance [21.297 ; 64.493]

Confidence interval standard deviation;

4.615, 8.031

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Variance, s² = 34.34

Standard deviation, s = 5.86

Sample size, n = 27

Degree of freedom, df = 27 - 1 = 26

Using the relation for the confidence interval :

[s²(n - 1) / X²α/2, n-1] ; [s²(n - 1) / X²1-α/2, n-1]

From the chi distribition table :

X²α/2, n-1 = 41.923 ; X²1-α/2, n-1 = 13.844

Hence,

[34.34*26 / 41.923] ; [34.34*26 / 13.844]

[21.297 ; 64.493]

The 95% confidence interval for the population variance is :

21.297 < σ² < 64.493

Standard deviation is the square root of variance, hence,

The 95% confidence interval for the population standard deviation is :

4.615 < σ < 8.031

There are six balls in the bag. Two are basketballs, three are playground balls, and one is a soccer ball. What is the probabili
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

\frac{1}{6}=0.16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : There are six balls in bag

             Basketballs=2

             Playground balls =3

             Soccer ball =1

To Find : the probability that if you pick one of the balls without looking, it will be a soccer ball

Solution :

Total no. of balls = 6

No. of soccer balls = 1

Probability = favorable outcomes / total outcomes

Since total outcomes = total no. of balls =6

And favorable outcome = no. of soccer balls = 1

Thus , Probability of getting soccer ball = \frac{1}{6}

Hence the probability that if you pick one of the balls without looking, it will be a soccer ball:

\frac{1}{6}=0.16
