How did excessive taxation exhaust the American colonists to the point of eventually going to war with England?
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

They couldn't feed their families and every time the Colonists attempted the extend an olive branch, the King of England had an intent of not listening. Eventually, the Colonists began to boycott and protest against the taxes, which just made things worse. They attempted to write another Olive Branch petition to compromise with the King, and since he wouldn't listen once again, the Continental Congress organized minutemen (who only had passion, not training or supplies) under George Washington and prepared for war with their father country.
