This is the pattern to all this puzzle;
So the before last term is : 9+6+7 = 22
and the last term : 6+8+1 = 15
The easiest way I know is to multiply the divisor by different numbers to see how many times it will go into the dividend. multiplying 486 by 2 or three and seeing which one gets closest.
I assume you mean 5/8 of a pound not 58 pounds. In that case convert your total number of pounds into eights to make it easier to calculate. 5 pounds is equal to 40/8 pounds of cheese. Now divide this by 5/8. That equals 8. SO you can make 8 batches.
