Why were the colonists divided over the fight for independence?
Greeley [361]
Loyalists (also labeled Tories) made up one third of the colonial population; they wished to remain British and felt that things were just right the way they currently were. The Patriots, however, were eager for independence and felt that freedom was what they needed. Different views caused fights among colonists, causing horrible events, such as the Civil War.

Disease spread more easily in hunter-gatherer societies true or false?
Ann [662]
Many diseases need a large population in order to survive. Hunter Gatherer populations do not offer this. Diseases will often strike, kill a few people and then disappear until the population comes into contact with an outsider again. In contrast, civilized society offers a large enough population so that a disease is able to constantly stay alive and be spread. Therefore, disease does not spread faster in agrarian societies, it just spreads more unchecked.

Jaime is writing an informative essay on the life of President Jimmy Carter. Which source is a primary source he might use?
ki77a [65]

Answer:

Correct answer is diary entries by President Carter .

Explanation:

Third and fourth options are not correct as first of all textbook and encyclopedia are not a primary, but a secondary historical source.

On the other side, diary entries are the best primary source because are written sources from the perspective of someone who participated in certain events, in this case president Carter.

Second option is not correct option, but after the diary journal articles would be also important as are written in the period when certain events happened.
