Hi!

Your answer is B.

It is <u><em>not</em></u> A because this doesn't really make sense. It's not the best answer.

It <u><em>is</em></u> B because, in sentences, the words around it will likely give the information you need to infer what the word means.

(For example, if I were to say "<em>She was </em><u><em>continuously</em></u><em> singing, for yesterday she sang for 4 straight hours, and it was extremely annoying</em>", pretend you do not know what "continuously" means. By using the words around it, such as "4 straight hours" you can predict that it means "never stopping".)

It is <u><em>not</em></u> C because not every single sentence contains a synonym or antonym.

(See the sentence above. The antonym of "continuously" would be 'never' or 'sometimes' or possibly 'discontinous'. There isn't always an antonym or synonym there, is there?)

It is <u><em>not</em></u> D because not every single word is defined in a passage.

(When you open an average book, is there just an entire page(s) dedicated to every single definition of a word? Most often, no, there is not.)

Lorico [155]

Answer:

the main difference lies between the pension scheme.

Explanation:

If an individual is considered an employee (non-cadre), there would be less expectation from him in the eyes of people. For example, if an individual has a large workload, he or she may get paid an overtime fee for that but if one is considered an executive (cadre), more is expected from them. However, a cadre has a better retirement plan as compared to a non-cadre.

Using Kohlberg's terms, identify the level of moral reasoning in each statement:
tatiyna

Answer:

1. Pre conventional

2. Post conventional

3. Conventional.

Explanation:

Kohlberg did some studies on morality and proposed a theory on moral development.

Kohlberg defined three different levels of morality (and each level consists in 2 stages).

These levels are

  • Pre conventional
  • Conventional
  • Post conventional

In the preconventional level, the person's morality is externally controlled and therefore acts based on what the punishment will be (1st stage) or based on how good will it be for him/her to act in some way (2nd stage)

The conventional level stages also has to do with external controls but now the person thinks in function of ensure positive relationships and societal order. The third stage here depends on the approval of others. The fourth stage has to do with accepting rules because they preserve the society order  and functioning.

The postconventional level stages are defined in more abstract principles or values. The 5th stage sees the world as a place with different values that must be respected. Finally the 6th stage is based in universal ethical abstract principles.

Now, looking at the information given:

(1) "He only cares if he gets punished or rewarded": This would be an example of <u>pre conventional level</u>, since the behavior is externally controlled and focuses on punishment (1st stage)

(2) "He has a personal code of ethics that transcends what society says" : This would be a<u> postconventional level</u> based on abstract values and principles that transcends society.

(3) "His morality is focused on what the culture says is legal or right": This would be a <u>conventional level</u>, since the behavior is externally controlled and focuses on society order (4th stage)

The caste system in India was used for what purpose?
NeX [460]
It was used to recognise the value of people (High and Low) and gave opportunities and respect to the high class people and not to the low class. Anyways, this was not a good idea as it discriminated people. In present India, caste system is not used as it causes Inequality.

Hope it Helped!
