Why are we obligated to preserve and protect environmental resources according to Baxter?
umka21 [38]

Answer: According to Baxter ;

- Humans as surrogates for nonhumans (animals): What is good for us, is also good for nonhumans (anthropocentrism also indirectly protects nature)

- To take care of nature is right and ought to be enforced because it benefits humans to do so (and only to the extent that it does so)

- The right amount of pollution is the amount that best satisfies human interests ("The optimal state of pollution").

Red blood cells appear to swell after being exposed to hypertonic plasma solutions.
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

Yes, the red blood cell swells

Explanation:

The red blood cells placed in a hypotonic solution will take in water across their membranes.

A red blood cell will swell and undergo hemolysis (burst) when placed in a hypotonic solution.

The red blood cell that is hypotonic (lower concentration outside the cell) will result in more water flowing into the cell than out. This results in swelling of the cell.

Create a story from the Waste's (waste-water) Point of View in the blood as it travels through the kidneys and to the bladder, a
WARRIOR [948]

Answer and Explanation:

During the body's metabolism, molecules are generated that are residues of chemical and methanbological reactions. These molecules need to be removed from the body and this process is done by the excretory system. Most of these molecules are wastewater and nitrogen compounds.

The kidneys are a very important point in this system, along with the urinary system. When blood, rich in oxygen, comes in contact with the kidneys, they are filtered by this organ. This is done through structures called the nephron which are the excretory unit of the kidneys. Within each nephron there is a collecting capsule where water and residual particles that are in the blood are captured, while the rest of the particles pass along with the blood and continue on their way to other regions of the body.

From inside the kidneys there is also a tube called the ureters, which captures the water and molecules captured by the nephron (which forms the urine) and takes them to the bladder, which directs the urine out of the body through the urethra.
