We should not celebrate Columbus day, due to the many horrible actions committed by Christopher Columbus. Although Columbus may not be personally responsible for some of the choices his men made, he still made several inappropriate choices on his own. Many people celebrate Columbus day as indigenous peoples day instead to celebrate the native americans who ACTUALLY founded America, nothing excuses anything any of these colonizers did even if it was common at the time.
