Hello!

First you have to find the total amount of kids

5 kids a table
28 tables

Multiply these numbers

28 * 5 = 140

Then divide by the amount of kids in a class

140 / 35 = 4

The answer is 4 classes

Hope this helps!

let E be weight of expensive nuts, C be cheaper nuts

E*8+C*5=10*6 value equation

E+C=10 mass equation

Solve it by any method, I will do determinants

Det: 8-5=3

E= (60-50)/3=10/3 =3.33 lb

C= 80-60 /3=20/3 =6.66 lb

USPshnik [31]

Question was Incomplete;Complete question is given below;

Trey drove to the mountains last weekend. There was heavy traffic on the way there, and the trip took 12 hours. When Trey drove home, there was no traffic and the trip only took 8 hours. If his average rate was 20miles per hour faster on the trip home, how far away does Trey live from the mountains?

Do not do any rounding.

Answer:

Trey lives 480 miles from the mountain.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Time taken to drove the mountain =12 hours

Time taken to return back from mountain = 8 hours.

Let the speed at which he drove to mountain be denoted by 's'.

Speed on the trip to home = s+20

We need to find the distance Trey live from the mountains.

Solution:

Let the distance be denoted by 'd'.

Now we know that;

Distance is equal to speed times Time.

framing in equation form we get;

distance from home to mountain d=12s

Also distance from mountain to home d = (s+20)8=8s+160

Now distance is same for both the trips;

so we can say that;

12s=8s+160

Combining the like terms we get;

12s-8s=160\\\\4s=160

Dividing both side by 4 we get;

\frac{4s}{4}=\frac{160}{4}\\\\s=40\ mph

Speed while trip to mountain = 40 mph

Speed while trip to home = s+20=420+20=60\ mph

So Distance d=12s=12\times40 = 480\ miles

Hence Trey lives 480 miles from the mountain.

In the following exercises, solve
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

When the volume of a gas in a container varies inversely with the pressure on the gas and a container of nitrogen has a volume of 29.5 litres with 2000 psi. So, if the tank has a 14.7 psi pressure, then the volume of the tank would be 4013.6 litres.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The volume of a gas in a container varies inversely with the pressure on the gas. If a container of nitrogen has a volume of  litres with  psi, what is the volume if the tank has a  psi pressure.
  • Calculate the volume to the nearest whole number.
  • Use the given values and calculate the proportionality constant as well as required solution.

Step 1 of 2

Write the inversely proportionality relation between the volume and pressure of a gas in container.

$v \propto \frac{1}{p}$

Where volume is represented by v and pressure is represented by p.

Remove the proportionality and place a constant say k.

$v=\frac{k}{p}$

Substitute the given values of nitrogen that v=29.5 and

p=2000 and calculate the value of k from above equation.

$$\begin{aligned}&29.5=\frac{k}{2000} \\&\Rightarrow k=29.5 \times 2000 \\&\Rightarrow k=59000\end{aligned}$$

Step 2 of 2

Substitute the value p=14.7 and above calculated k value in the equation

$$\begin{aligned}&v=\frac{k}{p} . \\&v=\frac{59000}{14.7} \\&\Rightarrow v=4013.6\end{aligned}$$
