Why was Jefferson concerned about purchasing the Louisiana Territory?

answer: because thomas jefferson was concerned about the louisiana purchase as the land was unexplored as louis and clark had only gone through a small section of the land.. also the land would add a lot of land for the US (United States) which was still developing as a country so that means that it could be left useless and unexplored and NO people could live there.
