Step-by-step explanation:

a) $11 = 3 lines of a classified ad

$x = 2 limes of a classified ad

cross multiply

3x = 22

divide by the coefficient of x

which is 3

3x/3 = 22/3

x = 7.33 approximately 7

x = 7.

b) $11 = 3 lines of a classified ad

$x = 5 lines of a classified ad

cross multiply

3x = 55

diviee by the coefficient of x

vitfil [10]
Answer is 4 = x. Write out The equation. Then converted to a polynomial. Then use the formula in the top upper right and then do the simple arithmetic to find a positive solution for X. it also makes logical sense as well, 3×4 is 12. Ivan had a total of 9 pigs and chickens on his farm. There was a total of 30 legs. How many of each did he have ?
luda_lava [24]

Answer: 6 pigs and 3 chickens

Step-by-step explanation: you know that each pig has 4 legs and each chicken has 2 legs so start out by saying 9 pigs and 0 chickens which is 36 legs then try 8 pigs and 1 chickens and 8 times 4 = 32 + 2 which is 32 which is more than 30 then notice for every chicken there is you subtract 2 from 36

knowing this we can divide 6 by 2 and get 3 the number of chickens

so 6 pigs and 3 chickens

hope this helps mark me brainliest if it helped
