Two decades ago, while researching her doctoral thesis, ecologist Suzanne Simard discovered that trees communicate their needs and send each other nutrients via a network of latticed fungi buried in the soil — in other words, she found, they “talk” to each other.

a researcher wishes to know whether there is a significant difference in the number of knee injuries reported among four sports.
boyakko [2]

Answer:

Chi-square analysis cannot be used to check for significant difference in the number of knee injuries among four sports.

Explanation:

The chi-square analysis is a statistical procedure that is used to test association between measured variables or goodness of fits of a set of measured variables to expected outcomes.

In the case of testing for significant difference, chi-square analysis cannot be used as testing for significant difference in two or more means requires using t-test, analysis of variance, or any other relevant statistical procedure.

To compare number of knee injuries reported among four sports for significant difference, the most suitable statistical procedure would be analysis of variance.

Why is the action of phagocytes considered a nonspecific response it does not occur at any specific temperature it is not a resp
saul85 [17]

The action of phagocytes doesn't happen at any certain temperature. No specific sort of lymphocyte is produced as a result of it. It doesn't react to any particular hormone.

The process of phagocytosis begins with attachment and ingestion of microbial particles into a bubblelike organelle called a phagosome. Once inside the phagocyte, the phagosome containing the microorganism joins with a lysosome, which contributes enzymes. The fusion of phagosome and lysosome results in a phagolysosome. Microorganisms are destroyed within minutes, and the microbial debris is eliminated from the cell in the process of egestion.
