Seven people are going to share an 84-ounce bottle of soda. How many ounces will each person get to drink? Choose the correct eq

uation and answer for this situation.
7 ÷ 84 = 84/7 = 12 ounces
84 ÷ 7/84 = 1/12 ounces
7 ÷ 84 7/84 = 1/12 ounces
84 ÷ 7 = 84/7 = 12 ounces

Hii, im Nat here to help.

Known: 7 people are sharing, 84 ounce,

So, since we are sharing, we have to divide.

So let's note whats know and whats unknown

Known:

Splitting evenly

7 people

84-ounce soda

Need to know:

How much each person will get

how many ounces each

So the first step would to divide 84, since there are 84 ounces, by 7, since there are 7 friends.

84÷7

Now, can 7 go into 84 without going over? Yes!

7x12=84

We would write 12, since 84 divided by 7 is 12.

And since 7x12 is exactly 84, we have no more steps

Hence,the answer would be 12.

Happy learning!

Hii! It's your sister,Nat, again :>

So we know if they are going to spilt it evenly, we have to divide.

So let's write down what we know and what we need to know

<em>Known</em>

  • <em>Splitting</em><em> </em><em>evenly</em><em> </em>
  • <em>7</em><em> </em><em>people</em><em> </em>
  • <em>84-ounce</em><em> </em><em>soda</em><em> </em>

<em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em>Need</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>know</em><em> </em>

<em> </em><em> </em>

  • <em>How</em><em> </em><em>much</em><em> </em><em>each</em><em> </em><em>person</em><em> </em><em>will</em><em> </em><em>get</em>
  • <em>how</em><em> </em><em>many</em><em> </em><em>ounces</em><em> </em><em>each</em><em> </em>

<em>So</em><em> </em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>first</em><em> </em><em>step</em><em> </em><em>would</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>divide</em><em> </em><em>84</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>since</em><em> </em><em>there</em><em> </em><em>are</em><em> </em><em>8</em><em>4</em><em> </em><em>ounces</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>by</em><em> </em><em>7</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>since</em><em> </em><em>there</em><em> </em><em>are</em><em> </em><em>7</em><em> </em><em>friends</em><em>.</em>

<em>Let's</em><em> </em><em>see</em><em>!</em>

<em>Can</em><em> </em><em>7</em><em> </em><em>go</em><em> </em><em>into</em><em> </em><em>84</em><em>?</em><em> </em><em>(</em><em>without</em><em> </em><em>going</em><em> </em><em>over</em><em>)</em>

<em>Yes</em><em> </em><em>indeed</em><em>!</em>

<em>7x12</em><em> </em><em>is</em><em> </em><em>84</em><em>. </em><em>(</em><em>hints</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>why</em><em> </em><em>it's</em><em> </em><em>12</em><em>)</em>

<em>So</em>

<em>We</em><em> </em><em>would</em><em> </em><em>write</em><em> </em><em>12</em><em> </em>

<em>And</em><em> </em><em>since</em><em> </em><em>7x12</em><em> </em><em>is</em><em> </em><em>exactly</em><em> </em><em>84</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>we</em><em> </em><em>have</em><em> </em><em>no</em><em> </em><em>more</em><em> </em><em>steps</em>

<em>Hence</em><em>,</em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>answer</em><em> </em><em>would</em><em> </em><em>be</em><em> </em><em>12</em><em>.</em>

<em>Happy</em><em> </em><em>learning</em><em>!</em>

What is the general equation of a sine function with an amplitude of 6, a period of StartFraction pi Over 4 EndFraction, and a h
Katen [24]

Answer:

C: y = 6 \sin (8(x-\frac{\pi}{2} ))

Step-by-step explanation:

Amplitude is changed by multiplying the entire trig function by a number, by default the amplitude is 1, so multiplying by 6 is necessary; eliminate A and B

Horizontal shift is going through the x axis, so it must be subtracted from the x value. This is only seen in choice C of the remaining answers.

Calculating the period isn't necessary because we already found the right answer but in case you need it in the future; the period is by default 2pi, to get to pi/4, it had to be 8 times smaller, so multiplying x and translations on x by 8 will get you the correct period.
