Proletariat- One who has to sell their labor, or work a job in order to live. A proletarian does not own the Means of Production or the land, resources, and machinery required to make things.
Capitalist- One who owns the Means of Production. A capitalist’s role in relation to production is superficial, the work they do could be done by someone else who could be elected or they don’t work at all. Their “effort” comes from owning the Means of Production. They earn profit from business and then distribute wages to the proletariat.
