To solve this we are going to use the loan payment formula: P= \frac{ \frac{r}{n}(PV)}{1-(1+ \frac{r}{n})^{-nt} }
where
P is the payment
PV is the present debt
r is the interest rate in decimal form
n is the number of payments per year
t is the time in years

Since she paid 20% of the value of the home, PV=204000-(240000)20%=163200
Now, to convert the interest rate to decimal form, we are going to divide the rate by 100% r= \frac{7}{100} =0.07. Since we are finding Shelly's monthly payment and a year has twelve months, n=12. We also know that t=20, so lets replace those values in our formula:
P= \frac{ \frac{r}{n}(PV)}{1-(1+ \frac{r}{n})^{-nt} }
P= \frac{ \frac{0.07}{12}(163200)}{1-(1+ \frac{0.07}{12})^{-(12)(20)} }
P=1265.29

We can conclude that Shelly's monthly payment is $1265.29

A zoologist is studying four very closely related feline species. She wishes to compare their gestation periods. An observationa
diamong [38]

Answer:

p_v= 0.01

Since the significance level is 0.05 we see that pv so we have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis. And the best conclusion for this case would be:

b. at least some, but not all, of the gestation periods across all four species are the same

Because is only to identify if AT LEAST one mean is different, NOT to conclude that the all the means are different.

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) "is used to analyze the differences among group means in a sample".

The sum of squares "is the sum of the square of variation, where variation is defined as the spread between each individual value and the grand mean"

Solution to the problem

The hypothesis for this case are:

Null hypothesis: \mu_{A}=\mu_{B}=\mu_{C}= \mu_D

Alternative hypothesis: Not all the means are equal \mu_{i}\neq \mu_{j}, i,j=A,B,C,D

In order to find the mean square between treatments (MSTR), we need to find first the sum of squares and the degrees of freedom.

If we assume that we have p=4 groups and on each group from j=1,\dots,p we have n_j individuals on each group we can define the following formulas of variation:

SS_{total}=\sum_{j=1}^p \sum_{i=1}^{n_j} (x_{ij}-\bar x)^2

SS_{between}=SS_{model}=\sum_{j=1}^p n_j (\bar x_{j}-\bar x)^2

SS_{within}=SS_{error}=\sum_{j=1}^p \sum_{i=1}^{n_j} (x_{ij}-\bar x_j)^2

And we have this property

SST=SS_{between}+SS_{within}

And in order to test this hypothesis we need to ue an F statistic and for this case the p value calculated is

p_v= 0.01

Since the significance level is 0.05 we see that pv so we have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis. And the best conclusion for this case would be:

b. at least some, but not all, of the gestation periods across all four species are the same

Because is only to identify if AT LEAST one mean is different NOT to conclude that the all the means are different.

Butoxors [25]

Correct question is;

Tanya walked for 17 minutes from her home to a friend that lives 1.5 kilometers away. D(t) models Tanyas remaining distance to walk in kilometers, t minutes since she left home. What number type is more appropriate for the domain of d?

Answer:

0 ≤ t ≤ 17 ; (0, 17)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that she has walked for 17 minutes from her home to a friend that lives 1.5 kilometers away.

Now, we want to find the domain of numbers that shows her remaining distance.

Since she spent 17 minutes, then it means in modeling remaining distance it could be from 0 to 17 minutes as the case may be. Thus, the domain can be written as;

0 ≤ t ≤ 17 ; (0, 17)

Find arc DC please help me
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

arc ABC = 196°

arc DC = 360 - 196 - 70 = 94°  (which looks out of proportion, but so does angle D)

Step-by-step explanation:

arc ABC = 2(∠D) = 2(98°) = 196°
