Answer:

D)

mean = 14.8, median = 13, mode = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean: sum the values then divide by the total number of values

Median: the middle value once the values are placed in order from smallest to greatest. if the number of values is even, then take the average of the middle 2 values.

Mode: the value that occurs most often

Mean: (14 + 22 + 18 + 12 + 14 + 8 + 4 + 12 + 32 + 12) ÷ 10 = 14.8

Place the numbers in order:

4, 8, 12, 12, 12, 14, 14, 18, 22, 32

Median: (12 + 14) ÷ 2 = 13

Mode: 12

Function : y=4 sin(3x)-2
STatiana [176]
So the 4 represents the amplitude of the function. We can also see that because it is a positive number, the graph is even. ⁽⁽The number before the graph type (Sin or Cos) always represents the amplitude. The amplitude is how many units the graph travels up and down from the midline.
The -2 is the midline. This means that the midline is at -2 on the Y-axis. To find the max and min, you then add the amplitude to find the maximum, and subtract to find the minimum. [-6. 2]
To find the period, you divide 2π by the term in front of x. In this case, it's 3, so we do 2π/3. This cannot be simplified further, but in degrees this equals 120°. This means that, with the question asking for 2 full cycles, that the graph will go through 2 full cycles in 240°

Hope this helps, sorry i couldn't sketch the graph for you

The miles-per-gallon rating of passenger cars is a normally distributed random variable with a mean of 33.8 mpg and a standard d
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

The probability that a randomly selected passenger car gets more than 37.3 mpg is 0.1587.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the random variable <em>X</em> represent the miles-per-gallon rating of passenger cars.

It is provided that X\sim N(\mu=33.8,\ \sigma^{2}=3.5^{2}).

Compute the probability that a randomly selected passenger car gets more than 37.3 mpg as follows:

P(X>37.3)=P(\frac{X-\mu}{\sigma}>\frac{37.3-33.8}{3.5})

                   =P(Z>1)\\\\=1-P(Z

Thus, the probability that a randomly selected passenger car gets more than 37.3 mpg is 0.1587.
