Total number of students in the sample = 100

Atleast 3 means equal to or greater than 3. So in order to find the number of students in the sample who play outdoor games for atleast 3 hours we need to add the number of students who play for 3 hours or more.

Therefore, number of students who play for atleast 3 hours = 62 + 8 + 0 = 70

In the sample of 100 students, 70 students play the outdoor games for atleast 3 hours.

Base on this we can the sample proportion of students who play outdoor games for atleast 3 hours = 70/100 = 0.7

Based on the sample proportion, out of 1200 students the expected number of students who will play outdoor games for atleast 3 hours = 0.7 x 1200 = 840 students

Thus, 840 students out of 1200 would be expected to play outdoor games for at least three hours every week. Option B is the correct answer

Write an equation of the line that is perpendicular to y=1/2x-3 and goes through the point (1,3)
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

y = -2x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

y=\frac{1}{2}x-3

Slope of this line m₁ = 1/2

Slope of the line perpendicular to this line = m₂

m₁ *m₂ = -1

m₂ = -1 *2/1 = -2

Slope  = -2; (1,3)

y- y₁ = m(x-x₁)

y - 3 = -2(x - 1)

y - 3 = -2x + 2

y = -2x +2 +3

y = -2x + 5

Consider 8x2 - 48x = -104. Write the equation so that a = 1: x2 + -6 x = -13 Complete the square: x2 – 6x + 9 = –13 + 9 Factor t
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

The roots of the polynomial are;

3 + 2i

and 3-2i

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to solve the given polynomial using the completing the square method

We start by dividing through by 8

This will give;

x^2 - 6x = -13

To complete the square, we simply divide the coefficient of x by 2 and square it

We have this as -6/2 = -3

square it;; = (-3)^2 = 9

Add it to both sides

x^2 - 6x + 9 = -13 + 9

x^2 - 6x + 9 = -4

(x-3)^2 = -4

Find the square root of both sides

x-3 = ±2i

x = 3 + 2i

or x = 3-2i

Solve on [0,2pi). Answer in order from smallest to biggest<br> cos x sin x = sin x
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

0, π

Step-by-step explanation:

cos x sin x = sin x

cos x sin x - sin x = 0

sin x (cos x - 1) = 0

sin x = 0, x = 0, π

cos x - 1 = 0

cos x = 1, x = 0

So answers: 0, π
