Answer: The cost of each pair of sneakers is $33.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Meryl spends a total $68.82 for 2 pairs of sneakers with the same cost.

If the sales tax is $5.32 and she also uses a coupon for $3.00 off her purchase.

Then the total cost of 2 pairs of sneakers

=\$68.82- \$5.32+\$3.00\\=\$66.50

Then the cost of each pair of sneaker=\frac{\$66.50}{2}=\$33.25

Hence , the cost of each pair of sneakers is $33.25.

68.82-5.32(sales tax)-3.00=60.5
60.5 divided by 2= 30.25
Each pair of sneakers cost $30.25 each

Answer: the final mass of the solid is 176 grams.

Step-by-step explanation:

The "change" between two quantities, one initial Qi and one final Qf is defined as:

Change = Qf - Qi.

In this case, the quantity is mass, and we know that the initial mass is 260 grams.

And we also know that the change is -84 grams.

Then we have the equation:

Qf - 260 g = -84g

Qf = -84g + 260g = 176g

So the final mass of the solid is 176 grams.

Please help!!! I’m so confused on how to solve this!
-Dominant- [34]

Let's first write the equation given

x²+6x-13=0

They have told us to use "Completing the square" method.

So we need write x²+6x-13 as a whole square.

x²+6x-13=0

x²+(2*3*x)-9-4 = 0

x²+(2*3*x)-3²=4

Now we can write the LHS as:

(x - 3)²=2²

Hence,

x-3 can either be 2 or -2

Now,

x - 3=2

x=5

Or,

x - 3=-2

x=1

Therefore now we know that x can either be 1 or  5. So the correct answer is  Option B.
