What is the quotient of the rational expression below?
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

first answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello, you know that

\dfrac{\dfrac{a}{b}}{\dfrac{c}{d}}=\dfrac{a}{b}\cdot \dfrac{d}{c}

So, the quotient we need to estimate is

\begin{aligned}\dfrac{x^2-36}{x+8}\cdot\dfrac{4x+32}{x^2+12x+36}&=\dfrac{x^2-6^2}{x+8}\cdot \dfrac{4(x+8)}{(x+6)^2}\\\\&=\dfrac{4(x-6)(x+6)}{(x+6)^2}\\\\&=\dfrac{4(x-6)}{x+6}\end{aligned}

Thank you

Is the probability of contamination more than twice the mean of 14.4 unusual, or can it be considered typical variation? explain
alexandr402 [8]
More than the twice of the mean is 28.8 and I don't understand the meaning of typical. Seeing this porblem statement said that 3 brands had been contaminated more than twice the average, We would assume it's typical, then again it depends on what you define typical as. I think the mean is like "find the probability that a tested bar has at least twice as many insect fragments as the mean, and see if that number is really really small".
The probability is 0.000463 and this is really small, but I really don't understand what is the meaning of typical in this problem.
