Why didn’t the Allied Powers, who knew the mass killings were taking place, focus their firepower on the ovens and the killing o
Fofino [41]

Answer:

The Allied Powers didn’t focus their firepower on the ovens and the killing operations because at the initial height of the killing, they were incapable of doing anything militarily: Germany was winning the war in the Atlantic, and the Allied Powers, who were fighting to secure their own lands and lives, did not have enough soldiers and air power to fight in Europe. It was much later after a lot of killings, that the American Airforce was able to start bombing Eastern Europe in late 1943.

Match each settlement with the reasons people settled there.
aleksley [76]
French Settlers tended to look for fur, trading and catholic mission work because it what attracted them to the US in the first place.

Spanish Settlers looked for gold, silver adventure and Catholic mission work, because they were already a huge part of their culture and when they traveled, they'd look for something similar.

Massachusetts was HUGELY taking part in forming new religious communities to avoid prosecution from Christianity and Catholicism.

Dutch Settlements only really looks primarily for fur trading opportunities.

PA offered cheap land, fair government and the religious freedom everyone was seeking out at the time.

Roanoke Island was the lost colony. Lost among all of the others that took it's place.

4. Why did a Lakota sit on the Earth?
Natalija [7]

Answer:

The Lakota was a true naturist - a lover of nature. He loved the earth and all things of the earth, the attachment growing with age. The old people came literally to love the soil and they sat or reclined on the ground with a feeling of being close to a mothering power.
