Convert to an equation y in terms of x:
Y = (-2.4x + 48)/1.6
X Intercept is where y = 0
0 = -2.4x/1.6 + 48/1.6
X = 20

Y intercept is where x = 0
Y = (-2.4*0)/1.6 + 48/1.6
Y = 30

X and y are how coats and pants are made respectfully so the x intercept is where y = 0, meaning no pants are made, only jackets. The y intercept is the opposite, it’s how many pants can be made if no jackets are made.

Find the distance between the points L(7,-1) and M(-2, 4).
zysi [14]

Answer:

The answer is

\sqrt{106}  \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \: 10.3 \:  \:  \:  \: units

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points can be found by using the formula

d =  \sqrt{ ({x1 - x2})^{2} +  ({y1 - y2})^{2}  } \\

where

(x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) are the points

From the question the points are

L(7,-1) and M(-2, 4)

The distance between them is

|LM|  =   \sqrt{ ({7 + 2})^{2}  + ( { - 1 - 4})^{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{ {9}^{2}  +  ({ - 5})^{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{81 + 25}  \\  =  \sqrt{106}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  = 10.29563014...

We have the final answer as

\sqrt{106}  \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \: 10.3 \:  \:  \:  \: units

Hope this helps you

What is the product?
Anit [1.1K]

The final answer will be a 3x3 matrix. So you'll have 3 rows and 3 columns.

Along row one, the values are:     10,   15,    20

Along row two, the values are:      45,  -5,   -35

Along row three, the values are:   55,  25,   -15

all of which make up the final answer. Each value in bold is the result of multiplying the outer 5 by each value inside the original matrix given. In a sense, it's like using the distributive property, though we wont be adding any of the values (everything stays separated).

How much do teachers make per hour
zzz [600]
Really bad according to the BLS, the average secondary school teacher in the U.S. earns an annual salary of $56,760. A 40-hour work week employee would have to earn $27.28 per hour to earn as much over the course of a year.

How to substitution math work
vova2212 [387]
Well lets just we have

2x-3y=-2
4x+y=24
Well first we see we have "Y'" by itself which is great that means we can use substitution. So now we just set "Y"by itself. So subtract 4x on both sides and we get

y = -4x+24 now we just plug "Y" into the first equation
2x-3(-4x+24)=-2
Distribute the 3 and simplify and we get x=5

Plug (5) back into either top or bottom equations
4(5)+y=24
20+y=24
y=4
