How did scientists determine SM0313 is the oldest star ever discovered?

Biology
1 answer:
levacccp [35]3 years ago

i think it has to do with how old it looks, because a star starts off as a baby little star, a different color and size. its also in a nursery with a lot of other stars, which is called a nebula. as the stars grow older and larger, they change color and drift apart. the scientists must've seen that the star has a totally different color from the baby ones, way brighter and much larger, also seeing that stars grow apart, it has not really many stars living around it for miles and miles. they must've guessed that it was probably really old.

In communities where zebra mussels have invaded we observed that the population of invertebrates, zooplankton, and phytoplankton they will decrease when in open water. The population of bottom-dwelling invertebrates which are in the littoral zone will increase.
Hypothesis shows the zebra mussels will affect the fish negatively that feed on plankton in the open water but affect positively the fish which feed on invertebrates which are in the littoral zones.
The predictions by following the invasion of zebra muscles show that the number and growth rate of fish species in open water will decrease in population whereas the number and growth rate of fish species in the littoral zone will increase in population.

How do you think the rock layers and fossils found in Red Rock Canyon can provide evidence for Earth's geologic history?
Bogdan [553]

Answer and Explanation:

Red Rock Canyon is an area of universal geologic interest, located a few miles west of Las Vegas within the Mojave Desert. Many experienced geologists visit the Red Rock; they are surprised by the vivid colors of rocks, natural beauty, and rock formations. A visual display takes million years to make the masterpiece known as the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area. About 500 million years ago, Red Rock Canyon was found at the bottom of an ocean basin. Limestone accumulated in this ocean basin, which contains the fossils of sea life. The tracks of two-footed meat-eating dinosaurs have been found in the Aztec Sandstone. The tracks of small animals such as spiders, scorpions, early mammals, and proto-mammals were also found. The fossils and rock layers that are found in Red Rock Canyon provide evidence for Earth’s geologic history.  Paleontologists are still searching these areas.
