Answer:

2.82 seconds (3 sf)

Step-by-step explanation:

s = ut + 0.5at²

6 = -95(sin25)t + 0.5(32)t²

16t² - 40.14873487t - 6 = 0

t = 2.818501699, -0.1419193751

t is time so can't be negative.

Therefore, t = 2.82s (3 sf)

What is the graph for {3x+5y<10 {x-y<=1
Nostrana [21]
Sounds to me as tho you are to graph 3x+5y<10, and that after doing so you are to restrict the shaded answer area created by the "constraint" inequality x≤y+1.    OR x-1 ≤ y   OR  y≥x-1.  If this is the correct assumption, then please finish the last part of y our problem statement by typing   {x-y<=1}.

First graph 3x+5y = 10, using a dashed line instead of a solid line.

x-intercept will be 10/3 and y-intercept will be 2.  Now, because of the < symbol, shade the coordinate plane BELOW this dashed line.

Next, graph y=x-1.  y-intercept is -1 and x intercept is 1.  Shade the graph area ABOVE this solid line.

The 2 lines intersect at (1.875, 0.875).  To the LEFT of this point is a wedge-shaped area bounded by the 2 lines mentioned.  That wedge-shaped area is the solution set for this problem.

Solve the system of equation by the addition method x-2y=11 and -x+6y =-31
Sonbull [250]

Answer: x = 1, y = - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The given system of linear equations is expressed as

x - 2y = 11- - - - - - - - - - - - -1

- x + 6y = - 31- - - - - - - - - - - -2

We would eliminate x by adding equation 1 to equation 2. It becomes

- 2y + 6y = 11 - 31

4y = - 20

Dividing the the left hand side and the right hand side of the equation by 4, it becomes

4y/4 = - 20/4

y = - 5

Substituting y = - 5 into equation 1, it becomes

x - 2 × - 5 = 11

x + 10 = 11

Subtracting 10 from the left hand side and the right hand side of the equation, it becomes

x + 10 - 10 = 11 - 10

x = 1
