\qquad\qquad\huge\underline{{\sf Answer}}♨

Let's solve ~

Assume width of rectangle be " x ", length = 3×width + 8 = 3x + 8 ~

Now, Perimeter of rectangle is :

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:2(l + w)  = 56

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:2(3x + 8 + x)  = 56

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:2(4x + 8)  = 56

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:4x + 8  = 56 \div 2

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:4x + 8  = 28

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:4x  = 28 - 8

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:x = 20\div 4

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:x =5 \: cm

Hence, width = x = 5 cm

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:l = 3w + 8

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:l = 3(5)+ 8

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:l = 15+ 8

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:l =23 \:cm

And, length = 26 cm

The radius of a circle is 9 times the radius of a smaller circle. The area of the smaller circle is 50 square centimeters. What
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

Let R = radius of big circle

r=radius of small circle

A1=Area of small circle

A2=Area of big circle

R=9r

A1=50cm^2

A1=pi*r*2

A2=pi*R^2

A2=pi*(9r)^2

A2=81*pi*r^2

A2=81*A1

A2=4050cm^2

Hence the big circle has area of 4050cm^2

Solve 2cos^2x + cosx − 1 = 0 for x over the interval [0, 2 π ).
alina1380 [7]
Let cos x = a, then
2a^2 + a - 1 = 0,
solving the quadratic equation, we have:
a = 0.5 or -1.

i.e. cos x = 0.5 or cos x = -1
for cos x = 0.5,
x = pi/3, 2pi - pi/3 = pi/3, 5pi/3

for cos x = -1,
x = pi

therefore, x = pi, pi/3, 5pi/3

Find the coordinates of the image after a translation of the figure below using (x, y) (x + 3, y + 2).
vekshin1
You have not provided the coordinates of the original points, therefore, I cannot give exact answers.
However, I can help you with the concept.

We are given that the translation rule here is:
(x,y) ................> (x+3 , y+2)

This means that:
x coordinate of the translated point can be obtained by adding 3 to the x coordinate of the original point
y coordinate of the translated point can be obtained by adding 2 to the y coordinate of the original point

Examples:
point (2,3) after translation would become (2+3 , 3+2) which is (5,5)
point (-1,0) after translation would become (-1+3 , 0+2) which is (2,2)

Hope this helps :)
