Base your answer to question 34 on the excerpt below and on your knowledge of social studies. … We have already said that there

are only three ways left to Japan to escape from the pressure of surplus population. We are like a great crowd of people packed into a small and narrow room, and there are only three doors through which we might escape, namely, emigration, advance into world markets, and expansion of territory. The first door, emigration, has been barred to us by the anti-Japanese immigration policies of other countries. The second door, advance into world markets, is being pushed shut by tariff barriers and the abrogation [cancellation] of commercial treaties. What should Japan do when two of the three doors have been closed against her? It is quite natural that Japan should rush upon the last remaining door.… — Hashimoto Kingoro¯, 1939 Speech The author of this excerpt is presenting an argument for Japan to follow a policy of (1) self-restraint (2) isolation (3) urbanization (4) economic imperialism

Which best describes how the electoral college affects the executive branch?
grandymaker [24]

The Electoral College affects the executive branch because it determines the next president and vice president.

The Electoral College is the system used every four years to determine the president. Each state has delegates that represent the interests of the voters. These delegates are then tasked with giving a states electoral votes to a particular candidate. The candidate who receives the most votes in a particular state will receive that states electoral votes.

In order to become president, a candidate must receive 270 electoral votes. The number of electoral votes for each state varies. States with larger populations usually have more electoral votes than those states with smaller populations.

What controversies have the agencies discussed in this section encountered? What issues or problems tend to lead to such controv
Sphinxa [80]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

You did not include any reference, text, or further context. We do not know what is the topic of controversy.

However, by doing some research we can help you with the following.

If you are referring to the controversy between formal science vs. pseudoscience, then the issues or problems that tend to lead to such controversies are the lack of evidence used by pseudoscientists when trying to prove something.

True scholars and scientists know that the scientific method is the only way to validate a phenomenon. The results can be repeated one, two, and three times, and scientists had to validate the results every single time. Then, we can say that something has scientific support and validation.

On the contrary, pseudoscientists often times do not include validation, just opinions, and general comments based on their own perspectives.
